Melanie Gordon, our February Sister Spotlight
Melanie Gordon is our talented and fearless nursery leader and has been in the ward for a couple of years. She was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona into an LDS family and is the oldest of 4 children. Melanie studied elementary education at BYU. She met her husband, Aaron, through her cousin who played BYU football with him. They were married in the Mesa, AZ temple and Melanie was pregnant 4 months later with Sadie (now 4). Then came her boys Tyus (2 1/2) and Lincoln (1).
Melanie has wanted to be a mommy her whole life, she loves it and most everything domestic that comes with it. She is a gifted photographer and seamstress (she even teaches classes out of her home). She also somehow finds the energy and time to enjoy exercising (I only say this because I don't know how she does it!). Her penchant for anything old fashioned shows in her beautiful handmade clothes so its no surprise she feels like she should have been born 100 years ago. Her favorite places in the world are New Zealand and Samoa and the thing she is looking forward to most right now is Aaron's forthcoming graduation from law school.
Thanks for being our spotlight, Melanie, and thank you for all you do for our little ones in the nursery!
